Cadillac Formula 1 Team

Cadillac became Formula 1's 11th constructor when they joined the grid for the 2026 season, ending a long battle for entry approval from the FIA and Formula 1 Management. The American manufacturer — a division of General Motors — had been pursuing an F1 entry since 2023, initially through a partnership with Andretti Global. After regulatory approval was finally granted, Cadillac assembled a team based in the United States with technical partnerships in Europe. Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez — both returning to the grid after their 2024 departures — were signed as drivers, bringing a combined 25+ years of F1 experience to the new team. As expected for a new constructor, Cadillac's debut season has been challenging, but both drivers have shown occasional flashes of competitiveness. The team is building towards long-term success, with General Motors' resources and the prestige of the Cadillac brand behind them.
